New Years Eve in Royal Oak MI

Hey Jealousy
Gin Blossoms Hey Jealousy CD

This year Royal Oak is hosting it's first Rockin' the Eve outdoor free concert event.  There will be live bands including The Romantics, who orignated in the Motor City with the hit "What I like about you" in 1980. The concert's main attraction is the band Gin Blossoms, performing some of their top hits like "Hey Jealousy. There are a few more live bands and also a live DJ performing in between acts.  The Rockin' The Eve New Year's bash will also kick-off the countdown with a ball drop.  The ball weighs in at 1,000 pounds, is six feet high and has 288 lights.  I know what your thinking, an outdoor free concert in December!  They will also have warming tents outside to help everyone keep warm. This free New Year's Eve event is expected to attract more than 8,000 people. So if you still haven't found a place to hang out tonight, put your warm winter clothes on and come on down. 2 Paws Up

Today I wanna give 2 paws up to my cat Roscoe P Coltrane.  He was found outside as a homeless kitten 8 years ago and since having him, he is the one of the best cats ever.  I am not quite sure what type of cat he is but if I was to guess I would have to say he is part if not all Maine Coon cat.  He matches the descriptions almost perfectly.  Maine Coon cats are known for their intelligence and gentle personality. Although the origins of the Maine Coon are unknown one of the theories is that they descended from ancestors of domestic cats and raccoons or even wild bobcats. And if you’ve ever meet a Maine Coon cat this seems plausible.  They are one of the largest breeds of cats and are known as gentle giants. They possess above-average intelligence, and their personality almost resembles a dogs. They also make a distinct chirping or chattering sound, which is quite different from a normal cats meow. To anyone who is planning on making a pet a permanent fixture in their home.  I would suggest a Maine Coon cat as an option.  You can also purchase this book from Amazon and read more information on the Main Coon cats.

Christmas Gift

Apple iPod touch 8 GB (4th Generation) NEWEST MODELThe gift that Santa brought this year was the new Ipod Touch.  My first Ipod ever!  I know that's a shocker since they have been out forever.  I just have never had the desire to have one or to use one.  And what a mistake that was.  I am now addicted to the game Angry Birds.  But have recently discovered I am not alone.  Since mentioning the game at work, about 4 other people chimed in that they love the game too.  It's a simple game where you slingshot different kinds of birds across the field to demolish the piggies.  Each level gets more difficult the further you go in the game. Very fun! Of course there are many other fun games and aps to discover on the Ipod, which I intend to do.  But for now Angry Birds is my favorite way to pass the time.  Apple has created a wonderful way to connect with friends and family or just to use for entertainment purposes.  Who would have thought such a small device could bring so much joy! Any suggestion's on other fun applications, please feel free to list them. It certainly beats housework!
